A Franklin County man has been arrested after an investigation into a report of a sex crime at a residence in Industry.
Timothy Haley, 36, of Freeman Township, was arrested Thursday on charges of unlawful sexual contact, class B, and unlawful sexual touching, class D.
On March 15 it was reported to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office that Haley allegedly was “acting inappropriately with underage children,” according to a news release Friday from Sheriff Scott Nichols.
Detective Ken Charles alerted the Department of Health and Human Services about the incident, which reportedly occurred at an Industry Road residence.
Haley had connections with the residents of the Industry Road home, according to Nichols. The children that Haley allegedly had the unlawful sexual contact with lived at the home.
After conducting multiple interviews and forensic interviews with the victims, Charles interviewed Haley and arrested him Thursday at the sheriff’s office.
No bail had been set for Haley as of Friday morning.
