A Lewiston man has pleaded guilty to robbing a credit union in January.

Brent Roaix, 33, entered his plea Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Portland.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Roaix went into a Rainbow Federal Credit Union branch in Lewiston on Jan. 25 and gave the teller a note saying he was armed and demanding money. After the teller gave Roaix money, he ran off, but was found by Lewiston police in a nearby apartment, where he was arrested. The stolen money was recovered.

Roaix faces a sentence of up to 20 years in prison, a fine up to $250,000 and three years of supervised release. He will be sentenced at a later date.
